Over the last few months, plans have been put in place to significantly expand the programs and services THS provides and the locations where they are provided. Here’s a brief summary of what’s in the works. In the weeks and months ahead, we will provide additional details and information about each of these exciting new developments as they come online.

Layne Staley Mobile Medical Unit

Generously funded in part by the Layne Staley Memorial Fund, our big and beautiful mobile medical unit will soon be on the road delivering medication assisted treatment for opioid addiction to residents of tiny home villages operated by the Low Income Housing Institute within the Greater Seattle area. The mobile medical unit is in the final phases of licensing with the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) and SAMHSA (Substance Use and Mental Health Services Administration).

Olive Branch

Located on the sixth floor of the Medical/Dental Building in downtown Seattle this new space will primarily serve commercially insured adults seeking behavioral health services who live and/or work in the downtown core. We are projecting that appointments with providers at this location will start within the month of August.

Kent Expansion

THS has leased two spaces adjacent to its current Kent office, adding over 7,500 square feet to our existing footprint. This additional space will include a dispensary to administer medication assisted treatment, additional substance use disorder and mental health counseling offices and group rooms. Construction begins in July with completion anticipated during the last quarter of 2025.

North Everett Branch

In the next few weeks, staff from THS current Youth & Family Services location in South Everett will move to the TransBlue Building at the corner of Rucker and Pacific Avenues in downtown Everett. The light filled third floor sits atop two floors of above ground, secured covered parking. The over 10,000 square feet of office space provides ample room to expand our office-based outpatient youth program and psychiatric services, numerous conference and group meeting rooms (so necessary for our growing WISe program) and private offices for therapists who will serve Medicaid as well as commercially insured youth and families.
