Layne Staley Mobile Medical Unit
The Layne Staley Mobile Medical Unit (LSMMU) provides critical behavioral health services to people in need across the Seattle area. The LSMMU is a mobile dosing vehicle built to honor the legacy of Layne Staley by providing much-needed care to our unhoused neighbors in the Seattle community.
Launching the Layne Staley Mobile Medical Unit
The LSMMU started operations in June 2026 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony covered by the local news agency King 5. We are proud to share their coverage with you here. Built by Mission Mobile Medical, the LSMMU is the most ambitious expression of our mission, to foster healing and recovery for all. The Layne Staley Mobile Medical Unit will continue to expand operations to serve more tiny home villages in the Seattle area.
Every day, the LSMMU rolls out to provide care directly to people in need. It takes a lot to keep this critical care vehicle rolling. Between the cost of gas, medical supplies, and our incredible staff, we need your help.
Please make a gift today in support of the Layne Staley Mobile Medical Unit to help the people we serve get care where they are, so they can focus on rebuilding their lives.
