Why Seattle Patients Choose Our Psychiatrists

Psychiatric Evaluations

A comprehensive evaluation with a THS psychiatrist helps identify your diagnosis and determine the right treatment approach — including whether medication may be helpful.

Medication Management

Ongoing monitoring and adjustment of psychiatric medications to find what works for you. We track your response, manage side effects, and refine your plan over time.

ADHD Treatment Available

THS psychiatrists diagnose and treat ADHD in adults and adolescents — including evaluation, medication management, and coordination with counseling support.

Collaborative Care

Psychiatry, mental health counseling, and substance use treatment under one roof. THS is uniquely positioned to treat the whole person — not just the diagnosis.

Telehealth Available

Therapy sessions online or in-person — flexible scheduling to fit your life.

Most Insurance Accepted

We accept Medicaid/Apple Health, Medicare, Premera, Regence, and most private insurance plans. Sliding fee scale available for those who qualify.

Our psychiatric providers offer evaluations and medication management for a wide range of mental health conditions, including:

Anxiety & OCD

Persistent worry, panic attacks, social anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive behaviors that interfere with daily life and relationships.

Depression

Major depressive disorder and persistent depressive disorder — with medication management when needed.

ADHD

Difficulty with attention, focus, organization, or impulse control in adults and adolescents. Evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management available.

Bipolar Disorder

Mood changes associated with bipolar disorder can significantly impact work, relationships, and daily activities.

PTSD & Trauma

Trauma-related symptoms including flashbacks, anxiety, avoidance behaviors, and emotional distress.

Schizophrenia & Psychosis

Psychiatric treatment can help individuals manage symptoms and improve stability and functioning.

Personality Disorders

Long-term patterns in thoughts, emotions, and relationships — including borderline and narcissistic personality disorders — can improve with therapy and medication support.

Oppositional Defiant Disorder

Frequent anger, defiance, and difficulty following rules can affect relationships at home and school. Treatment can help build skills to manage and respond to challenges.

Dissociative Disorders

Feelings of disconnection from your thoughts, memories, emotions, or surroundings can be confusing and distressing. Psychiatric treatment can help you feel more grounded.

No matter what I was going through, I always knew that I could find consistency and stability with THS.

It is so important to talk about things, and sometimes you don’t even realize you need to talk about things until you get in with your counselor, and you just start pouring out feelings. Your counselor helps you put things in perspective and helps you deal with the issues you’re facing.

Kelly

Mental health is such an important piece of recovery. A lot of places don’t offer it. In treatment, you go through a lot of stuff, and it’s important to be able to talk about that with someone you trust, and that’s huge for me, that I’m able to trust.

Psychiatrists are medical providers who specialize in diagnosing mental health conditions and prescribing medications. Therapists focus on talk-based treatment like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). At THS, you can access both — and our integrated approach means your providers can coordinate your care. For more on how these roles differ, see this overview from the American Psychiatric Association.
