“Do not bring people in your life who weigh you down, and trust your instincts. Good relationships feel good. They feel right. They don’t hurt. They’re not painful. That’s not just with somebody you want to marry, but it’s with the friends you choose. It’s with the people you surround yourself with.” – Michelle Obama, former first lady of the United States
March is Women’s History Month, and the theme for 2025 is “Moving Forward Together! Women Educating and Inspiring Generations.” Throughout history women have fought towards equality in all industries, and this year’s women’s history month is highlighting the continuation of passing this ongoing fight to the next generations. Thinking of all of the progress that has been made within the women’s rights movement is inspiring and uplifting, and this could not have been possible without the leaders and educators of this movement. During this month, take the time to acknowledge the women in your life that have shaped who you have become today. Continuing education for the new generations is crucial in passing along the legacy of this movement that so many have fought to progress, and that is why we will continue to move forward together!
